Work health and safety (WHS) is the term used to describe the
conditions and measures necessary to ensure the safety and health of
workers including psychosocial health. The goals of WHS are to prevent
workplace injuries, illnesses, and fatalities. WHS includes the
identification and assessment of workplace hazards, the development
and implementation of control measures to address these hazards, and
the provision of training and education to workers.
