Who we are

Our Transformative Approach

At WorkRight23, we lead the charge for transformative change. With our proprietary platform, we not only securely and confidentially capture and measure incidents of adult bullying in the workplace for the benefit of targets but also assess the psychosocial health of organisations through our unique organisational assessment.

In acknowledging the prevalent challenges faced by employees and volunteers, we recognise the pervasive impact of adult bullying, leading to unwarranted stress and pressure. While the issue is widely acknowledged, its true scale has remained unquantified, leaving a gap in understanding the magnitude of this concern.

Similarly, employers and managers, while cognizant of these challenges, often find themselves at a loss due to a lack of knowledge or tools to effectively address these issues. The perception that they cannot afford the necessary resources further compounds the struggle to create a safer and more respectful work environment.

Stories

The Stories of Our Clients

“I spoke up, then I became their target. It wasn’t long before I was the next to be ‘exited’ under a confidentiality agreement.
No one goes to work to be humiliated, abused, ostracised, or subjected to malicious rumours. It is shocking to experience so much betrayal after so many years of service.
Ripping my work away has left me with a profound emptiness and feelings of shame and betrayal. It is a very hollow and lonely feeling.”

FAQ

Still Have Questions?

We use target because it acknowledges that harmful behaviour was directed at a person, without defining them by that experience. The word victim can feel disempowering or suggest someone has no agency.

Target is more neutral. It recognises that a person was on the receiving end of harm while affirming the person’s strength,  dignity, and ability to move forward. It also helps shift the focus from blame or labels toward accountability for harmful actions and, where needed, systemic change to prevent the harm from continuing.

Workplace harm isn’t always just bullying. It can also include harassment, discrimination, retaliation, physical or sexual harm, or even illegal or unethical actions.

The word bully only describes one behaviour. Perpetrator is a broader term that:

  • Covers the full range of harmful actions, from everyday negative acts to serious misconduct.
  • Highlights the importance of accountability when harm has been caused.
  • Recognises that sometimes addressing harm requires a systemic intervention, not just a personal solution.

Using this language ensures we take every report seriously, whether it’s a pattern of behaviour or a major breach of trust or ethics.

WorkRight23 is a charitable trust and digital platform that supports both individuals and organisations in addressing workplace harm.

For Targets (Individuals):
WorkRight23 provides a secure, private platform to document harmful experiences. You can open one or several cases and record incidents safely. These may relate to:

    • A current case at work
    • A past case you want to keep on record
    • Domestic or family violence that impacts your work
    • Whistleblowing on illegal or unethical actions

All records are stored privately and remain fully under your control and ownership.

For Organisations:

WorkRight23 provides aggregated, de-identified insights into workplace risks. We combine perceptual data (like employee surveys) with actuals (secure, anonymised incident data) to reveal systemic patterns. No individual can ever be identified, and all cases remain under the target’s control. The result is clear, actionable intelligence to prevent, mitigate, and eliminate psychosocial harm.

WorkRight23 serves three main groups:

  • Individuals (Targets):
Anyone in New Zealand or Australia can use our platform for free via the website or mobile apps. People in other countries can also access the website version, and as we better understand local laws and processes, we may open to wider audiences globally.
  • Health Professionals:
A General practitioner (GP), with patient consent, can refer patients to WorkRight23 via the GP portal.  The GP can then monitor psychological well-being and include this information in their patient’s overall care plan.
  • Organisations:
Employers, government agencies, NGOs, and unions can partner with WorkRight23. They receive de-identified analytics that highlight psychosocial risks, enabling systemic interventions that strengthen workplace safety, trust, and culture.

No. WorkRight23 is free for individuals. Our charitable trust model means funding comes from partner organisations and community supporters.

Some people choose to give back after their case is resolved by making a donation to WorkRight23, or by completing an organisational assessment for a workplace where they have been employed or volunteered. These contributions help us expand support for others.

For organisations, pricing information is available on our website. We keep costs as low as possible because our focus is on creating healthy outcomes for individuals and safer workplaces for everyone.
